NOTICE:
The high points (switch-off pressure) for the
2 pumps are identical. The low points (operating
pressure) should be offset by 0.5 bar Pf for PR2,
and < 0.5 Pf for PR1.
8.4.2 Adjustment of the motor protection
Check the current set for the thermal relays
(see Fig. 3, pos. 5) by comparing them to the
rating plates located on the pumps. If needed,
readjust this by turning the time selection wheel.
8.4.3 Adjustment of the float switch to the reservoir
supply
Adjust the floater by always keeping a minimum
water reserve of around 40 cm above the input
opening on the pressure-boosting system to
counter the resistance from the suction strainer
valve.
Make sure that the electrical connection is correct
by operating the floater by hand in such a way as
to cause the low water indicator on the switchgear
to illuminate.

8.5 Commissioning

The maximum operating pressure in the system is
equal to the pump pressure at 0 flow rate plus the
municipal water pressure flowing into the pres-
sure-boosting system, if applicable.
On the switchgear, turn the general switch ampli-
fier to "I" and the pump button to "Auto".
The automatic operation of the pressure-boost-
ing system is activated and controlled by the
switchgear.
CAUTION!
Do not let the pump operate with the discharge
valve closed for more than a few minutes.

9 Maintenance

Only qualified personnel are authorised to carry
out maintenance and repair work!
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
In case of work on electrical devices, there is a
danger of death by electrocution.
Before performing any maintenance or repair
work, disconnect the device or system from the
power supply and make sure it cannot be reacti-
vated accidentally.
In general, only a qualified electrician/engineer
should be allowed to repair damaged connecting
cables.
26
To ensure optimal operational reliability and to
keep operating costs at a minimum, it is advisable
to conduct inspections and maintenance of the
pressure-boosting system on a regular basis
(refer to the pump's instructions and standard
EN 806-5). To do so, the best solution is to sub-
contract maintenance and repair work to a spe-
cialist firm or our customer service.
• The pressure-boosting system does not require
any specific maintenance during operation.
• The motor roller bearings are permanently
greased.
• The mechanical seal does not require any specific
maintenance during operation.
• In the event of frost or prolonged deactivation of
the pump, the system must be drained by
unscrewing the drainage screw (see Fig. 1, pos. 6).
CAUTION!
Refill the pump before using it again.

10 Faults, causes and remedies

A Wilo customer service agent or a specialist
company must be tasked with resolving faults,
especially those affecting the pumps and the
switchgear.
NOTICE:
When carrying out all maintenance and repair
work, it is crucial that the general safety instruc-
tions are observed! It is also important to follow
the installation and operating instructions for the
pumps and the switchgear!
Danger! Risk of fatal injury!
Only specialist and appropriately qualified per-
sonnel may perform troubleshooting!
Observe the safety instructions in chapter 9!
