Cleaning the spark plug
The spark plug is located behind the air fi lter.
Remove the spark plug using the spark plug
spanner supplied. Remove any deposits
using a wire brush.
Use a feeler gauge to check that the spark
gap is 0.6-0.7 mm and adjust if necessary.
If the spark plug is very sooty, clean or
replace it. Always replace with the same type.
Idling adjustment
If the chainsaw is not running smoothly, the
idling speed can be adjusted.
Clean the air and fuel fi lters fi rst and check
that the fuel and chain oil are mixed correctly
(1:40).
Start the engine.
Adjust the idling speed by turning the T
screw. The chain must not move around the
blade when the engine idles.
All other settings of the carburettor may only
be changed by a professional.
Checking the chain wheel
Remove the side plate and check the
chain wheel. If the chain wheel's teeth are
more worn down than 5 mm, replace the
chain wheel with a new one of the same
specifi cations as the old one.
