Product description

1.1

Intended use

The WLAN USB adapter is intended for operation at the
EPS 118. The EPS 118 can connect to a wireless net-
work (WLAN) with the WLAN USB adapter.

The WLAN USB adapter may only be used with
the EPS 118 if it does not have an internal WLAN
adapter. EPS 118 are supplied from manufacturing
date 2016-03 without an internal WLAN adapter as
standard.
The WLAN USB adapter is not approved by Bosch for
use with products other than the EPS 118. Bosch will
not accept liability for faults or damage caused by using
the WLAN USB adapter with other products.

All work involved in commissioning the WLAN USB
adapter is described in this installation manual
1 689 989 304. The original instructions enclosed
with the WLAN USB adapter must not be used for
commissioning.

refer to the packaging or the original instructions
enclosed with the WLAN USB adapter.

Initial commissioning

The driver for the WLAN USB adapter is already pre-
installed on the EPS 118. It is not possible to carry out
the installation using the enclosed CD.

1. Switch off the EPS 118 at the power switch (Fig. 1,
item 1).
2. Insert the WLAN USB adapter into the USB port
(Fig. 1, item 2).
3. Switch on the EPS 118 at the power switch.
4. Select the "Options" button on the start screen of
the EPS 118.
5. Select "Settings" button.
6. Select "WLAN" button.
7. Select the "OFF" button under 'Wireless & Network'
in the Wi-Fi field.
? The button switches to "ON".
? Call up the WLAN symbol ( ) in the message line
to display all visible wireless networks.
8. Select the wireless network (WLAN) for which a con-
nection is to be established.
9. Enter the password for the wireless network (WLAN)
if required.
10. Select the "Home" button.

The EPS 118 is connected to the wireless network
(WLAN).
