EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES
1. Guard
2. Screws
3. Additional handle
4. Edge rod
PREPARATION FOR WORK
INSTALLING THE GUARD
Do not use the grass trimmer without the guard installed.
• Put the guard (10) onto the head casing (6) so that the guard catch
(11) engages with its guiding (a) (fig. A).
• Make sure that the cutting string is not under the guard (10).
• Install the guard (10) using supplied guard mounting screws (16)
(fig. B).
INSTALLING THE EDGE ROD
The edge rod is designed for cutting grass at lawn edges or corners.
It protects the cutting string against cutting off by sharp edges, e.g.
concrete pavement edging.
• Install the edge rod (7) to the head casing (6) so that the
protruding part faces the front of the guard (10), while the rod
engages with points on the head casing (6) (when used).
• When the edge rod (7) is not used, rotate it by 90º so that the
protruding part faces upwards (fig. C).
INSTALLING THE ADDITIONAL HANDLE
The additional handle is designed for right- and left-handed people.
When starting operation always hold the grass trimmer firmly with
both hands and by two handles.
• Loosen the additional handle locking nut (12) and remove the bolt
from the additional handle (3).
• Slide the clamping ring of the additional handle (3) so that its
mounting piece engages with the seat in the additional handle
casing.
• Insert the removable bolt in the opening and tighten the
additional handle locking nut (12) (fig. D).
ADJUSTING THE ADDITIONAL HANDLE
• Loosen the additional handle locking nut (12) and set the
additional handle (3) in the most comfortable position for a given
work.
• Tighten the additional handle locking nut (12) and the additional
handle (3) will be locked in a selected position (fig. D).
ADJUSTING THE TELESCOPIC TUBE LENGTH
The adjustment of the telescopic tube length allows to match
height of the tool with persons with various height and posture. The
adjustment range is 100 cm ÷ 120 cm.
• Loosen the telescopic tube locking ring (4) according to the
indicated direction.
• Slide in / out the telescopic tube (5) to a required length (fig. E).
• Lock the telescopic tube locking ring (4).
SETTING THE TILT ANGLE OF THE ADDITIONAL HANDLE
Thanks to the practical function of the head position adjustment in
relation to the main handle, it is possible to trim lawn and flower
bed edges and mow in hard-to-reach places, e.g. under benches,
hammock, table, etc.
• Press the head tilt angle locking pedal (11).
• While pressing the telescopic tube (5), select a proper angle (the
head (6) allows for angle adjustment in 3 positions) (fig. F).
• Release the pressure onto the head tilt angle locking pedal (11),
which automatically locks the head in a selected position.

Be very careful when using the grass trimmer for vertical
trimming of lawns and flower bed edges. Stay away from the
rotation plane of the cutting string to avoid the risk of being hit
with an object projected by the cutting string.
SECURING THE EXTENSION CORD
Extension cords designed for outdoor use should only be used with
the grass trimmer. The cross section of the extension cord cores
should be at least 1.5 mm
2
and maximum length should not exceed
60 m. To allow for safe movements of the grass trimmer put the
extension cord through the power cord holder (13) (fig. G) located
in the main handle. It eliminates excessive tension of the power cord
during the grass trimmer operation.
OPERATION / ADJUSTMENTS
SWITCHING ON /OFF
The mains voltage must correspond to the value specified on the
grass trimmer nameplate.
Switching ON – press the switch button (2) (fig. G).
Switching OFF – release the pressure on the switch button (2).
When the motor is switched off, the cutting string keeps on
turning. Keep the unwound power cord away from the cutting
elements. Never attempt to lock the switch in the ON position.
Never use the grass trimmer during rain and in wet environment.
If extension cord is damaged, remove its plug from mains socket
immediately. Never use a damaged extension or power cord. All
parts must be assembled properly and must fulfil requirements
that ensure appropriate and safe operation of the grass trimmer.
Any damaged protective element or part must be repaired or
replaced immediately.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE
• Connect the grass trimmer to a proper extension cord.
• Put the extension cord in the power cord holder.
• When trimming long grass, work gradually, by layers.
• Keep the grass trimmer away from hard objects and cultivated
plants.
• Operate the grass trimmer only when the grass is dry.
• When trimming edges drive the tool along lawn edge.
ADVANCING THE CUTTING STRING
The grass trimmer is equipped with an automatic cutting string
adjustment system. The cutting string will be automatically
advanced to a proper length during operation.
When the cutting string is torn off or its part is broken inside the
spool casing, the automatic cutting string advancement system
will not be active. In such case pull the cutting string by hand.
MANUAL ADVANCING THE CUTTING STRING
Disconnect the grass trimmer from power source.
• Press the protective catches (17) on both sides of the spool casing
(8) (fig. H).
• Remove the cap (18) from the spool casing (8).

grass remains.
• Remove the cutting string spool (19) and unwind approximately
15 cm of the cutting string ends (20) (fig. I).
• Thread the cutting string ends (20) through the holes (b) in the
spool casing (8).
• Press the spool firmly (19) into the spool casing (8).
• Place the spool cap (18) in the spool casing (8) and press until it
locks (the cap must be fully seated in the spool casing and secured
with protective catches (17) (fig. J).
• Excess cutting string will be cut off by the metal blade (9) in the
guard (10).
