INSTALLATION AND CARGO LOADING
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Check that there is no debris and the roof is clean.
2. Place the your cargo bag on the vehicle roof between the roof rack side rails.
If cross bars are installed on your vehicle, reposition the cross bars near your cargo bag. Fig 1.
3. NOTE: Always face the side with no zipper towards the FRONT of the vehicle.
4. Place items in plastic bags before loading for extra protection from water condensation.
5. Unzip the bag and load cargo into the bag. Place heavy, large objects in first. This may require a partner to help you. Continue
loading lighter items on the top, creating a compact load.
6. Close the zipper and fold the flap to completely cover the entire zipper and secure using hook and loop fasteners to hold the flap in
place. Make sure the zipper pulls are not on top of the hook and loop material, as this will prevent a secure hold.
7. Attach the loose ends of the straps to the roof rack side rails by feeding the strap under the side rails and locking into the buckle
sewn on the bag. Repeat the same procedure if the vehicle has cross bars to attach to.
8. Alternate tightening both ends of each strap until the cargo bag is secure. Fig 2. Tie off excess strap to prevent the straps from
flapping while driving.
9. A minimum of two straps (four attachment points) must be used at all times. If your vehicle has:
• Both side rails and cross bars – Use all four straps.
• Side rails only – Use two straps on the driver side and on the passenger side.
NOTE: To prevent the bag from sliding off the back of the roof, the front strap must be forward of the side rail center support post
(if your vehicle has one) on both sides.
• Cross bars only – Use two straps on the front and rear.
