How to determine the correct breast shield size?

To express breast milk gently and efficiently, a vacuum has to develop within the
breast shield.
Correct fit of breast shield:
• Constant movement of the nipple corresponding to the pumping interval
• Comfortable feeling during pumping
• Evenly soft breast tissue after pumpin
Breast shield too small or large:
• Slow milk flow and low milk volume
• Nipple rubs along side of the tunnel or Areola is pulled into the tunnel
• Uncomfortable feeling during pumping
