Only turn the product back on once it has been defrosted, cleaned and thoroughly
dried. Some models are equipped with a hole at the base of the inside drawer to
facilitate condensate discharge. A towel can be placed at the base of the product
during the defrosting procedure in order to facilitate water collection.
3.2 Seasonal Maintenance
Seasonal maintenance is performed:
1st With cleaning of the condensing unit. In particular, it is necessary to brush/
vacuum out all the dust that has accumulated. This can be done using a soft brush
and a vacuum cleaner.
2nd With cleaning of the internal compartment. In particular, wash with warm water
and mild soap, drying any water/condensation that may be encountered.
3.3 Maintenance for Long Periods of Inactivity
In the winter, the product must be stored inside the vehicle, as it will not work
at temperatures near or below 0°C. In order to prevent damage to the electrical/
mechanical components and/or the formation of mould when shutting off the
product for extended periods of time, it is necessary to wait for the product to
defrost completely and to eliminate any condensation that may have formed,
performing the following activities:
1 Close the inlet water tap or turn off the autoclave.
2 Wait for the product to complete an ice making cycle.
3 Switch off the product and disconnect the power supply.
4 Open the door and wait for the product to reach room temperature. Dry all
condensation inside.
5 The product is now ready for use.
