7. D e scr ipt ion : Sm oke alarm device based on t he phot ocell
principle, which m eans t hat t he alarm m onit ors t he air for
sm oke caused by fire. sm oke alarm device does not det ect
heat , gas or fire.
8. Advice : Keep t hese inst ruct ions in a safe,
easily accessible place.
9. Ca u t ion : The alarm is designed in order t o det ect sm oke; it
cannot prevent a fire.
10. Ca u t ion : The sm oke alarm device should not be paint ed.
Prot ect t he sm oke alarm device from dust during renovat ion
work.
11. Ca u t ion : The sm oke alarm device should not be
t aped/ covered ( t his causes loss of funct ionalit y) .
12. Ca u t ion : Keep t he sm oke alarm device out of t he reach of
children.
Press t est but t on ( 1) and hold it for above 5 seconds unt il LED
light s, and release it wit hin 1 second, t he unit will generat e a
" beep" indicat es t hat it is act ivat ed and goes int o work st at us.
CAUTI ON : Act ivat e sm oke alarm first or else t here is no funct ion
for t his unit .
Test t he unit t o ensure proper operat ion by pressing t he t est
but t on, t his will sound t he alarm if t he elect ronic circuit ry, horn,
and bat t ery are working. I f no alarm sounds, t here is a defect ive
bat t ery or ot her failure.
