Troubleshooting
The 240 Vdc Extended Battery Cabinet is shipped with the battery
charged. However, it may lose some of its charge during shipping and
storage. You can use the EBC240 immediately after unpacking, but it
may not provide the full-rated backup time during a power failure. Upon
initial startup, the EBC240 may need to operate for approximately 24
hours to fully charge the battery and provide full battery-backup time.
Possible Cause
One or more EBC240 circuit
breakers are in the OFF (O)
position.
The EBC240 is not connected to
the UPS correctly.
Low battery capacity.
Protected equipment power
requirements exceed UPS
capacity.
The EBC240 is not connected to
the UPS correctly.
One or more EBC240 circuit
breakers were not turned on
during installation.
One or more EBC240 circuit
breakers opened due to an
overtemperature condition.
The EBC240 connections are not
secure.

Action
Turn the EBC240 circuit breaker to the

) position for all connected EBC240s.
Verify that the EBC240 cords are connected.
Allow the battery to charge for 24 hours,
then retest.

Turn the EBC240 circuit breaker to the
