Introduction
This concealed mounting box with integrated elastomer
installation box serves the installation of the Eurodisc SE (36 247)
thermostat shower mixer in brick walls, light- weight partition or
false walls.
Rough installation
1. Prepare the wall for the installation, refer to the dimensional
drawing on fold out page I.
2. Observe the installation depth, see fold-out page II, Fig. [1].
3. Pull off rough installation protection (B), see Fig. [2].
4. Remove retaining strip (C) and keep for further
installation.
5. Clear area for wall-mounting box (A) and rough installation
protection (B) and if neccessary cut slots for pipes, see
Fig. [1].
6. Align the wall-mounting box (A) horizontally, vertically and
parallel to the wall, see Fig. [3].
7. For better fastening of the wall-mounting box (A) the
enclosed screws (E), washers (F) und wall plugs (G) can be
used, see Fig. [4].
8. For this purpose, pierce the back of the concealed mounting
box (A) in the designated area (A1) with a suitable tool.
9. Connect the pipes to the wall-mounting box (A), see Fig. [5].
Do not solder the connections between the pipes
and housing, otherwise the built-in isolating valves may be
damaged.
The cold water supply must be connected on the right, the
warm water on the left.
If static pressure is greater than 5 bar, fit pressure reducer.
Flush pipes thoroughly.
Caution
Do not change installation position and connection angle of the
isolating valves (H) and (J), see Fig. [6].
Close isolating valve (H) and (J).
Open cold and hot water supply and check connections
for leakage!
Note for the installer:
• Put elastomer installation box (D) into the wall-mounting
box (A), see Fig. [7].
• Wedge in retaining strip (C) to prevent damage of the
elastomer installation box (D) when cutting the rough
installation protection (B).
• Push on rough installation protection (B) and secure with
the screws (B1) from the front side of the box.
• Do not carry out any further installation procedures until the
tiling is completed.
Note for the plasterer:
• Complete plastering work within the specified areas,
see Fig. [1].
Take account of tile thickness!
Note for the tiler:
Prepare elastomer installation box before tiling.
1. Remove screws (B1) and keep for further installation,
see Fig. [8].
2. Cut off protruding rough installation protection (B) with
suitable tool and keep for further installation.
Caution: Do not damage the elastomer installation box
inside.
3. Remove retaining strip (C) and pull out elastomer installation
box (D) through the opening, see Fig. [9].
4. Push on the cut off rough installation protection (B2 ) and
fasten with screws (B1), see Fig. [10].
5. Apply tile cement to wall, under the area of the elastomer
installation box (D), to act as a bonding coat, then press the
relastomer installation box (D) into the cement, see Fig. [11].
Complete tiling of wall.
• Take account of 1 to 3mm grouting joint to rough installation
protection, see Fig. [12].
Perform final installation.
Further installation procedures are explained in the final
installation for the trim set.
