WARNING: Never use the bumper bar to lift the stroller up
with your child sitting in it.
HOW TO USE THE SAFETY HARNESS
This stroller has a five-point safety harness featuring two shoul-
der straps, two adjustment holes, a waist strap and a crotch
strap with buckle.
12. WARNING: For use with children from birth to 6 months,
you must use the shoulder straps, passing them first
through the two adjuster slots (fig. 12). After laying your
child in the stroller, fasten the straps (fig. 12A) by passing
the two forks (A) inside the shoulder strap buckle (B) and
then inside the crotch strap buckle (C); Adjust the height of
the shoulder straps so that they adhere to your child's shoul-
ders. Make sure that the harness straps are fitted correctly.
To unfasten the waist strap, press and pull the side prongs.
WARNING: To guarantee the safety of your child, the safety
harness must be fastened at all times.
WARNING: After removing the waist strap (e.g. to wash it),
make sure you reassemble it correctly by passing it through the
2 D-rings. The harness must be re adjusted. To make sure the
harness straps are fitted correctly, place your child inside the
stroller and pull the ends of the straps firmly.
ADJUSTING THE BACKREST
The backrest can be adjusted to 4 positions.
13. To recline the backrest, lift the adjuster handle on the back
of the backrest (fig. 13) and pull it down.
14. To raise the backrest, simply lift it to the desired position,
without pressing on the handle (fig. 14).
WARNING: The child's weight can make these operations
more difficult.
REAR BRAKES
The rear wheels have linked brakes, which can be applied si-
multaneously on both rear wheels using one pedal only.
15. To apply the brakes, press one of the two pedals on the sides
of the rear wheels down, as shown in figure 15.
16. To release the brakes, pull up on one of the two pedals on
the sides of the rear wheels, as shown in figure 16.
SWIVEL WHEELS
17. To make the front wheels swivel, lift the lever fitted between
the two wheels. Use the swivel wheels on smooth surfaces. To
lock the wheels, press the lever back into the lower position
by pushing downwards (fig. 17).
WARNING: The swivel wheels make the stroller easier to handle;
in order to guarantee better stability, it is advisable to lock the
wheels in place on uneven ground (gravel, unpaved roads, etc.).
WARNING: Both wheels must always be locked or unlocked
at the same time.
SUN CANOPY
18. To fit the canopy, attach the plastic clips to the frame's tubes
and fasten the velcro strips in the appropriate positions, as
shown in figure 18.
WARNING: The canopy must be fixed to both sides of the
stroller. Ensure that the canopy is correctly fastened.
To remove the canopy from the frame, detach the velcro strips
and the plastic clips.
19. To open the canopy, push the front arch forward as shown
in figure 19. To close it, repeat the operation in reverse order.
20. The canopy has a transparent window to give you a better
view of your child. The window can be closed or opened
using the fabric flap, as shown in figure 20.
ADJUSTABLE LEGREST
The legrest can be adjusted to 2 positions.
21. To lower the legrest, hold the legrest bar and pull it out, then
turn it down (fig. 21). To raise the legrest up from the down
position, just pull it up.
FOLDING THE STROLLER
WARNING: When opening the stroller, ensure that your child
and any other children are at a safe distance. Make sure that
during these operations the moving parts of the stroller do not
come into contact with your child. Before folding the stroller,
make sure that the storage basket is empty and the canopy is
closed.
The stroller has a closing device that can be used with one
hand.
22. To close the stroller, push switch A to the left and press but-
ton B at the same, as shown in figure 22. Push the handle
forward to fold the structure (fig. 22A). The stroller will auto-
matically lock in the closed position. When closed, the stroll-
er stands on its own. To make the stroller more compact in
the closed position (fig. 22B), the handle can be folded as
described in point 8.
USING THE KEYFIT CAR SEAT ON THE STROLLER
The Keyfit car seat can be attached to the Simplicity stroller.
WARNING: Before using the stroller with the car seat, always
make sure that the fastening system is properly locked.
When fastened to the stroller, the Keyfit car seat can be used for
children from birth up to 13 kg in weight or until they are able
to sit independently.
With the stroller open, fold the sun canopy and recline the
backrest completely.
WARNING: To use it with the car seat, the bumper bar must
not be removed.
23. Position the car seat handle vertically, with the car seat in
the rear-facing position, and attach it to the stroller making
sure that it locks on both sides (you will hear a click on both
sides when it locks correctly) (fig. 23).
WARNING: Before using, make sure that all the car seat fasten-
ing devices are correctly engaged by pulling up on the car seat.
WARNING: Never install the child car seat in the forward-fac-
ing position.
24. To release the car seat from the stroller just press the rear
orange button as shown in figure 24 and lift the car seat
holding it by the vertical handle.
WARNING: The fastening and releasing operations can also be
carried out with your child in the car seat; however, the child's
weight may make these operations more difficult.
FITTING AND REMOVING THE STROLLER LINING
25. To remove the lining from the structure, remove the lateral
flaps from the seat: release the 3 buttons on the armrests
and remove the flaps from the seat as shown in figure 25.
26. Now release the buttons under the sides of the seat (fig.
26A) and release the backrest lateral fabric flaps as shown
in figure 26B.
27. Detach the velcro strips under the seat, pull out the crotch
strap belt, remove the waist strap from the D-shaped rings
and remove the D-shaped rings from the relevant holes in
the backrest (fig. 27A); starting from the legrest, remove the
fabric (fig. 27B) until it comes off the backrest completely
(fig. 27C).
28. To easily remove the seat fabric, open the velcro strips at the
bottom of the backrest and remove the stiff element from
the fabric (fig. 28).
To fit the lining on the stroller again, repeat the steps illustrated
above in reverse order.
ACCESSORIES
WARNING: The accessories described below may not be in-
cluded in some product versions. Carefully read the instruc-
tions for the accessories that came with the model you have
purchased.
SHOULDER STRAPS AND CROTCH STRAPS
The Simplicity stroller may be fitted with padded shoulder
straps and a soft crotch strap to ensure the safety and comfort
