•
Load the machine with waste masking paper or masking film via the upper hatch.
•
When the press is loaded with paper or film, close the upper hatch. It will lock automatically.
The compacting ram cannot descend until this hatch is locked and the ON button on the right-
•
hand side of the machine is pressed.
•
The paper or film is now compacted to a minimum volume.
•
After compacting the material, the ram comes to rest at the bottom dead point.
•
When the upper loading hatch is opened, the compacting ram is raised and comes to rest at
the top dead point. Only then can the upper loading hatch be fully opened and a fresh load of
paper or film can be stacked inside the press.
Now close the upper loading hatch again and press the ON button to start the next baling
•
cycle.
Once the chamber is full of compacted paper or film (after a number of compacting cycles),
•
the lower door can be unfastened and opened.
CAUTION!
When the latches of the lower door are unfastened, the compacting ram rises automatically. Only then
can the lower door be opened fully (safety lock).
When the door is opened, the baling twine is automatically pulled further under the
•
compacted bale.
Unfasten the loops in the twine at the front of the door and pull both ends of twine toward
•
the front.
Wrap both ends of twine around the bale in the baling chamber and tie it to the twine running
•
through the hole in the back of the press.
Then take out the bound bale of paper and cut off the twine.
•
Pull the end of the twine down on the inside of the press and out toward the front once again,
•
so that that the twine rests loosely on the press base plate. A new baling cycle can begin once
the door has been closed and the latches have been fastened.
CAUTION!
The compacting ram is only raised when the upper loading hatch is closed and the ON button is
pressed. When the press is disconnected from the compressed air supply, the ram is automatically
lowered in an idle stroke (without compacting pressure). This means that the loading hatch can no
longer be opened. The loading hatch can only be opened when the compressed air is connected again
and the ram has automatically returned to its top position.
CAUTION!
After unfastening the door, do not attempt to open it by force. The safety system includes a safety
lock for the door, which is only released when the compacting ram is at the bottom dead point. The
safety cut-out complies with EU Directive for machines and presses EN 13736: 2003-01 + A1: 2009-
02.
