Press the steam switch 17 to release the steam from
the iron; it is now possible to start working.
STEAM BRUSH
The brush is suitable to complete the ironing of intricate
items; use it to reinvigorate and brush delicate materials,
for example velvet. Follow the steam ironing instruction;
the temperature is not adjustable. It is possible have
continuous steam from the iron with the steam switch
fixed in the on position.
HOW TO SHUT DOWN THE APPLIANCE
Carry out the following procedure:
A few minutes before the end your work, turn the boiler
switch 5 off and continue ironing until the steam finishes,
then turn off the iron switch 6 and unplug the appliance 8.
Do not open and do not drain the boiler of water (see
"Use – Preparation").

CARE OF THE APPLIANCE

Before cleaning or maintenance work, please read
the "Warnings" carefully.
Cleaning is very important to ensure you have an efficient
appliance.
The frequency of maintanence is dependant on several
factors:
-
Volume of work performed by the appliance.
-
Hardness of the water; hard water can increase the
deposition of limescale.
-
Dust or other airborne particles in the working
environment.
-
Other particular conditions.
CLEANING
Clean all the external parts with a soft and dry cloth
weekly.
Clean the boiler every 2 months by carrying out the
following procedure:
-
Fill the boiler 1 with water.
-
Drain the boiler completely in order to flush any
limestone deposit.
The 4/B and 4/P mod. are equipped with water discharge
devices 11, underneath the appliance and require the
following procedure to be carried out:
-
Put a small basin in a secure position just below the
water discharge pipe fitting 11 which is situated on the
bottom of the appliance.
-
Unscrew the cap 11 underneath the appliance using a
hexagonal wrench CH12
appliance.
-
Fill the boiler 1 with water from the water discharge
pipe fitting and then drain the boiler in order to flush out
any limescale deposits.
-
Screw the cap of the discharge pipe fitting back on 11
carefully by using a hexagonal wrench CH12
supplied with the appliance.
Remove the limestone deposit form the steam holes on
the bottom of the iron / brush 15 every 6 months using a
pointed utensil but do not demage its surface.

Check all the parts of the appliance yearly, if some of
those are damaged or worn out, they must be replaced,
please contact your authorised support centre (see page
2).

If the appliance is to be left unused for long period of
time, carry out the following procedure:
a)
Turn off the switches 5–6 and unplug 8 the appliance
(see "Warnings – Electrical").
b)
Clean the appliance (see "Care of the appliance -
Cleaning").
c)
Screw on the safety cap 2 only when is dry inside the
boiler.
d)
Put the appliance in a box and store it in a proper, dry
and safe place (see "Warnings").

on the appliance, points out that the product must not be
disposed through the conventional procedure of disposal
of the domestic waste.
