Does the block have the same picture?
• Yes? Fantastic! As a reward, take both blocks and place them next
to you.
• No? Too bad! After everyone has seen the block, turn it over again
face down in the middle
It's the next player's turn.
End of the game
The game ends when the players have found all the pairs. Each player
arranges his or her blocks in a row. Whoever can lay the longest row
wins the game.
Tip: Younger players turn over one of the face-down matching blocks
and point to the face-up block with the matching picture.
Game idea #2: Vehicle Matching Game
Before you begin
Place all matching game blocks face down on the table and shuffle
them well. Then lay them down in four rows of equal length.
Let's play!
Play in a clockwise direction. Whoever most recently saw a police car
may start. If you can't agree, the oldest player starts and uncovers two
matching blocks one after the other.
• Do they show the same picture?
Then take the pair.
• Do they show different pictures?
After everyone has seen the block, turn it over again face down in the
middle. It's the next player's turn to turn over two blocks.
End of the game
Have you collected all the pairs? Then stack your matching blocks.
Whoever has the highest stack wins the game.
Tip: Younger players can also play with fewer pairs.
