ADJUSTING THE BELT

ATTENTION – The cutter must not start
forwards motion before the relative control
has been operated.
The power hoe control lever (fig. 12, part A)
must only start up the cutter after it has been
pressed more than halfway.
This is done by adjusting the transmission
adjustment screw (fig. 12. part B) on the
control lever.
When the control lever (fig. 12. part A) is at
the end of its run (operating position), the
distance between the two belt edges (Fig.
13, part) C) must be 40÷45 mm.
If these conditions cannot be achieved using
the adjustment screw (if it is at the end of its
thread), adjust the trapezoidal belt by moving
the motor along the slots on the frame where
it is secured (fig. 14, part D).
When the belt is taut (operating position),
adjust the run of the upper and lower
supports (fig. 15, parts E and F) so that:
- The distance between the belt and the
upper support is 1/2 mm
- The distance between the belt and the lower
support is 2/3 mm
ATTENTION
For machines with slow or fast gear selector,
the double belt tensioner must be in the
position illustrated in figure 16 so that roller
G controlling the slow gears, is closer to the
motor pulley H.
