DECOMMISSIONING
CAUTION!
Risk of injury
Sharp-edged and moving appliance parts
can lead to injury.
■
Always wear protective gloves during
installation.
■
Before the installation steps, always
put the respective blade guard on the
cutting blade.
4.1
Installation

3. Remove the blade guard (03/c).
4.1.2

4.1.3
Attaching the grass collector (05)
For using the grass cutter on the edge of a
garden bed, the grass collector can be attached
to the grass blade. It straightens up the grass and
prevents the cut-off grass from falling into the
bed.
1. Put the grass collector (05/1) on the under-
side of the grass blade so that the two pins
(05/2) point towards the openings and the
screw lies in the slotted hole (05/3).
2. Push the grass collector (05/1) into the two
openings (05/a) with low pressure.
4.2
Charging the rechargeable battery (06)
The rechargeable battery is partially charged.
Fully charge the rechargeable battery before us-
ing it for the first time. The rechargeable battery
can be charged in any charge status. Interrupting
charging does not damage the rechargeable bat-
tery.
■
The handle of the appliance can become hot
during the charging process. This is normal.
■
Do not use the appliance during the charging
process.
■
The operating time of the rechargeable bat-
tery grass and shrub cutter depends on the
status of the rechargeable battery and the
properties of the cuttings (thickness, etc.).
Frequent switching on and off reduces the
operating time. For details, see "Technical
data".
1. Insert the mains plug (06/1) into the power
socket.
2. Insert the charge plug in the charging socket
of the rechargeable battery grass and shrub
cutter (06/3). The charging process begins
with the constant lighting of the green LED
display (06/2) on the mains plug. The LED in-
dicates that current is flowing. The charging
process is indicated by the LED on the appli-
ance (06/4): The rechargeable battery is fully
charged when the LED on the appliance
(06/4) lights constantly.
3. Unplug the mains plug (06/1) from the power
socket and from the charging socket (06/3).
