CAUTION!
Danger of material damage due to

Poor ventilation of the charging unit du-
ring the charging process can damage
the charging unit and the rechargeable
battery.
Always place the charging unit on a
well ventilated and non-inflammable
surface.
Keep the ventilation slots clear and
do not cover the appliance.
CAUTION!
Danger of material damage due to in-
correct mains voltage!
Incorrect mains voltage can damage the
charging unit and the rechargeable bat-
tery.
Before connecting the charging unit,
make sure that the mains voltage
matches the voltage stated in the
"Technical data" section.
1. Remove the charging unit from the packa-
ging.
2. Place the charging unit free-standing on a
non-inflammable, level surface.
3. Insert the power plug.
✓ The charging unit is ready for operation.
CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE
BATTERY
ADVICE
NOTE: Fully charge the rechargeable
battery before using it for the first time.
The rechargeable battery can be char-
ged in any charge status. Interrupting
charging does not damage the recharge-
able battery.
CAUTION!
Danger of fire during charging!
The charging unit heats up when char-
ging. There is a danger of fire if the char-
ging unit is placed on an inflammable
surface and is not adequately ventilated.
Always use the charging unit on a
non-inflammable surface and in a
non-combustible environment.

1. Insert the rechargeable battery (01/1) in the
charging unit (01/2) and plug the power plug
(01/3) into the power outlet.
✓ The charging process begins and the LED for
indicating the operating status (01/4) flashes
green.
2. Observe the LED (01/4). The charging pro-
cess takes approx. 1.5 hours until fully char-
ged.
✓ The charging process ends automatically
when the rechargeable battery is fully char-
ged. The LED (01/4) then lights permanently
green.
3. Disconnect the power plug (01/3) when the
LED (01/4) lights permanently green.
4. Press and hold the lock knob on the underside
of the rechargeable battery. Then pull the re-
chargeable battery (01/1) out of the charging
unit (01/2).
ADVICE
NOTE: When pulling the rechargeable
battery out of the charging unit, keep the
locking knob on the underside of the re-
chargeable battery pressed so the rech-
argeable battery is unlocked.
Status displays on the charging unit
The LED (01/4) on the charging unit indicates the
charge status of the rechargeable battery and the
operating condition of the charging unit. The sym-
bols (02/1) on the charging unit indicate these sta-
tes:
LED lights green: The rechargeable bat-
tery is fully charged.
LED flashes green: The rechargeable bat-
tery is charging.
LED lights red: There is no rechargeable
battery in the charging unit.
LED flashes red: The rechargeable bat-
tery is too hot and will therefore not
charge.
