GENERAL WARNING
Please read these instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
This toy requires 3 X "AA" 1.5V type batteries (not included).
For your child's safety: Warning!
• Before use remove and dispose of any plastic bags and any other packaging (e.g. fasteners, fixing ties, etc.) and keep them out of
reach of children.
• Check the toy regularly for signs of wear and damage. Should any part be damaged, do not use and keep out of reach of children.
• The playmat can also be hung on the cot or playpen side with the two fixing ties.
WARNING! Before washing the playmat remove the electronic toy connected to the sun shaped plastic panel (see the "Cleaning and
Maintenance" paragraph).
HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE TOY
HOW TO FIX THE "SUN" ELECTRONIC PANEL TO THE PLAYMAT
The fixing tie located at the rear of the sun shaped electronic panel must be inserted into the appropriate hole, located at the rear
of the mat, and closed with the Velcro strap. This will keep the sun and electronic toy fixed in the correct position during use (diag.
D,1).
INTRODUCTION TO THE TOY
This soft Singing Animals Playmat is ideal to stimulate the development of the first sensory and musical skills, and to familiarise the
baby with the rhythm of language. The lively colours and different manual and sound activities will capture baby's attention, and help
it to develop its visual, listening, tactile and co-ordination skills.
HOW TO USE THE TOY
How to Switch On/Off the Toy:
Move the switch from the OFF position (diag. A, 1) and select the desired volume level. A short melody will indicate that the toy is
switched on.
To stop the toy, move the switch to the OFF position.
After a few minutes of inactivity of the electronic functions, the playmat automatically goes into the stand-by mode to avoid wasting
battery power. To reactivate the toy, simply press one of the electronic buttons.
How to Select the Play Modes:
The switch (diagram A,2), allows you to select between the 2 play modes indicated below:
1) Realistic sounds of the playmat animals: cow, puppy, sheep and fish. The typical mooing of the cow is activated after selecting
the corresponding play mode.
2) Melodies and nursery rhymes sung by the animals to the rhythm of different musical styles: country by the cow, rap by the
puppy and pop by the sheep and fish.
A fun jingle in country style confirms the selected play mode.
To listen to the sound effects or nursery rhymes, simply press the 4 animals on the playmat (diag. B, 3). This will also activate a
sound effect on the sun's rays (diag. B, 4). The sound effect/nursery rhyme will be repeated every time the child presses the selected
animal.
Other Playmat Activities:
The electronic playmat has also many different manual activities that help the child to develop and hone its motor co-ordination
skills and to understand cause – effect relationships.
There is a bird-rattle (diag. C, 1), a butterfly, that is ideal for the teething period (diag. C, 2), and a mirror for baby to play with and
reflect its image (diag. C, 3). The wings of the butterfly rustle (diag. C, 4), the snail's shell "squeaks" (diag. C, 5) and a fun frog is hidden
under a soft leaf (diag. C, 6).
FITTING AND/OR REPLACING BATTERIES
• Batteries must only be fitted by an adult.
• To replace spent batteries:
- Unfasten the fixing tie, located at the rear of the sun panel, to detach the sun from the playmat (diag. E,1); locate the battery
compartment at the rear of the sun (diagram E,2);
- Loosen the screw on the battery compartment with a screwdriver; remove the cover and spent batteries. Fit new batteries, ensur-
ing that they have been fitted in the correct polarity (as shown on the product). Close the battery cover, and tighten the screw
(diagram E,3);
- Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equivalent to the type recommended for the correct function of this product.
