Removing the original main silencer
- Remove screws (10) and (11) on the left.
- Remove the right screw (12).

- Remove screw (13) and pull out the fixing bolt.
- Loosen flange nuts (14).
- Lower the rear of the motorcycle to be able to remove the original main
silencer (15).
NOTE:
Secure the motorcycle in the lowered position with a lashing strap if necessary.
The lashing strap may damage the seat and plastic parts.
Protect susceptible parts with padding.
- Remove the original main silencer (15).
- Remove the lashing strap.
390 Duke only
- Remove screws (16) and the passenger footrest unit (Figure C).
- Drill holes (17) with a 6.5-mm diameter and cut an M8 thread (Figure D).

NOTE:
Cut the thread deep enough. If necessary, check using the screws M8x16
(included).
- Position the footrest unit and mount it with the original screws (26 Nm).
