Use as Open grill (Fig. 1)
-Upper plate/cover is level with lower plate/base. The upper and lower plates
line up to create one large cooking surface. The appliance to this position,
locate the hinge release lever on the right arm (fig, 2).
-With one hand on the handle, use the other one to slide the lever toward you.
Push the handle back until its cover rests flat on the counter. The unit will stay in
this position until you lift the handle and cover to return it to the closed position.
-Use the appliance as an open grill to cook burgers, steak, poultry (we do not
recommend cooking bone-in chicken, since it does not cook evenly on an open
grill), fish and vegetables.
-You have the option of cooking different types of food on separates without
combining their flavours or cooking large amounts of the same type of food,
Once you have finished using the appliance:
- Select the minimum position (MIN) using the thermostat control.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Clean the appliance.
Cleaning
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before underta-
king any cleaning task.
- Except for the power unit and the mains connection, all the parts can be
cleaned with detergent and water or in washing up liquid. Rinse thoroughly to
remove all traces of detergent.
- Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid
and then dry.
- Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or
abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
- Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to avoid damage to
the inner parts of the appliance
- Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under
running water.
- It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any food remains.
- Neither parts of this appliance are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher.
Anomalies and repair
- Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service if product is
damaged or other problems arise. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the
appliance yourself as this may be dangerous.

Ecology and recyclability of the product
- The materials of which the packaging of this appliance consists are included in
a collection, classification and recycling system. Should you wish to dispose of
them, use the appropriate public recycling bins for each type of material.
- The product does not contain concentrations of substances that could be
considered harmful to the environment.
