Electrical connection of the cooling unit
The device corresponds to overvoltage category II.
To guarantee safe and reliable operation of the cooling unit, ensure the following general requirements:
•
It is prohibited to connect an upstream temperature control on the supply side.
•
Connect the fuse specified on the type plate upstream as a line protection, see section "Type plate", Page 21and
"Adapting the unit to the mains voltage", Page 42.
•
Always connect the cooling unit to the mains via a disconnecting device (switch/contactor).
–
The disconnecting device must have a contact opening of 3 mm. The disconnecting device is provided and fitted
by the customer.
•
Install an all-pole sine filter (phase-phase and phase-ground) when using a frequency converter.

NOTE
Protective conductors in the mains connection cable are not regarded as potential equalization conductors.
Requirements
DANGER – Danger to life due to electric shock. Make sure that the unit is voltage-free.
•
All general requirements for safe and reliable operation are ensured.
Procedure
Connect to mains according to the circuit diagram, see section "Electrical circuit diagram – Multi-Controller (MC)",
1.
Page 36.
2.
Open the cage clamp terminal of the connecting plug with the flat screwdriver and connect the cables on the plug.
–
Firmly insert the screwdriver into the cage clamp terminal. Never turn, this will damage the cage clamp terminal.
3.
Before switching on, make sure that the mains voltage matches the data on the type plate and that there is a right-hand
field of rotation.
The cooling unit is connected electrically.
