TROUBLESHOOTING

This chapter lists the most common problems that you may encounter with your
appliance. Read the various parts for more details.
PROBLEM
1). The appliance does not work
2). During the first uses of the appliance, the motor unit emits an unpleasant
odour.
3). The filter is blocked.
4). The filter is in contact with the hopper and/or vibrates heavily during use.

SOLUTION
1). This appliance is equipped with a safety device. It cannot operate if it is not
properly assembled. Switch off the appliance and check that all parts have been
properly disassembled (Image B).
2). This phenomena is not unusual. If the appliance continues to emit this
odour after several uses, check that the quantities of food prepared and their
preparation time are appropriate.
3). Switch off the appliance and then clean the hopper and the filter. Reduce the
quantities handled.
4). Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Check that the filter is properly placed
in the juice collector. The ribs at the bottom of the filter must be properly
positioned on the drive axle. Check that the filter is not damaged. Cracks, an
improperly attached grater and any other irregularity may cause the appliance
to malfunction.

DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must
not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream.
Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery
and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human
health and the environment.
The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation,
that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected.
Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning
the correct disposal of their old appliance.
