4. Place the cover on the jug to prevent spatters or before putting the juice in the
refrigerator.
5. Place the jug under the spout.

USING THE APPLIANCE

1. When processing large quantities, do not operate the appliance for more than 40 s
in a row. Between uses, allow sufficient time for the appliance to cool down. None
of the recipes included in this operating manual represent a heavy load.
2. Do not remove the pulp bin when the appliance is in operation.
The appliance will only operate if all of its parts have been properly assembled and its
cover is properly locked using the flanges of the clamp (Image B).
1. Wash the fruits and/or vegetables and cut them into pieces small enough to be
inserted in the hopper.
2. Check that the jug is placed under the spout.
3. Turn the control knob to Speed I (high speed) or II (normal speed) to turn on the
appliance.
• Speed setting II is especially well-suited to soft fruits and vegetables, e.g.
watermelon, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers and raspberries.
• Speed setting I is appropriate for all types of fruits and vegetables.
4. Insert the pre-cut pieces in the hopper and use the pusher to gently push them
downward to the rotating filter.
5. Do not apply too much pressure to the pusher, as this could lower the quality of the
final product and even block the filter.
6. Never insert your fingers or any other object in the hopper. Only use the pusher for
this purpose.
7. After having processed all ingredients and once the juice has stopped flowing,
switch off the appliance and wait until its filter completely stops moving.
TIPS
Use fresh fruits and vegetables, as they contain more juice. This juice extractor is
especially well-suited to extracting the juice from pineapples, beets, celery stalks,
apples, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, melons, tomatoes, pomegranates, oranges and
grapes.
1. It is not necessary to peel thin-skinned ingredients. Only peel thick-skinned
ingredients, e.g. oranges, pineapples and uncooked beets. You must also remove
seeds/pits from the fruits, as they can impart a bitter taste and damage the filter/
grater.

2. When preparing apple juice, keep in mind that the density of the apple juice will
depend on the apple variety used. The juicier the apple, the thinner the juice will
be. Choose an apple variety that produces the type of juice that you prefer. Apple
juice tends to turn brown very quickly. To slow down this process, add a few drops
of lemon juice to it.
3. Fruits containing starch, e.g. bananas, papayas, avocados, figs and mangos, are
unsuitable for processing with this juice extractor. Use a food processor, blender or
hand mixer to process these fruits.
4. You may also use this appliance to extract the juice from leaves and leaf stalks, e.g.
lettuces.
5. Drink the juice immediately after having extracted it. Exposing the juice to the air
for a while will degrade its taste and nutritional value.
6. To extract the maximum quantity of juice, always slowly press the pusher
downward.
7. This appliance is not suitable for processing fruits and vegetables that are very hard
and/or fibrous/rich in starch, e.g. sugar cane.
CLEANING
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning
products or aggressive liquids (e.g. alcohol, petrol
or acetone) to clean the appliance.
The appliance is easier to clean if you do so
immediately after having used it.
1. Switch off the appliance. Unplug the plug of
the appliance from the wall socket and wait
until the filter has stopped turning.
2. Remove the dirty parts from the motor unit.
Disassemble the appliance in the following
order:
a. Remove the pulp bin.
