IX. ADJUSTING PRESSURE IN THE SHOCK ABSORBER
Use the pump provided to set the pressure required for the shock absorber. If pressure is too high, it can be decreased with
the purge button located on the pump.
Use only the pump provided or a pump that is equiped with a 20 bar manometer and adapted to FOX shock absorbers.
The combinations of positions and adjustments shown in the table below are given as a guide only and may vary according to
the patient's activities and weight.

- It is possible that traces of oil appear during the first uses of the knee. Wipe them with a soft cloth.
- Air pressure in the shock absorber should never exceed 20,6 bars.
- The air in the shock absorber should necessarily be cleared at high altitude (travel by plane, ...).
- After adjusting the air pressure, do not forget to put the cap on the valve again.
- As the shock absorber has undergone a specific preparation, never dismantle it and never use it for another
purpose.
- Let the shock absorber cool after use. Risk of burns.
- If the temperature of the shock absorber varies within a wide range, its behaviour can differ.
- The shock absorber is delivered deflated to avoid any problem during transport.
X. MAINTENANCE
Regularly check the state of the flexion stop screws.
Regularly check the tightening of the M6 screws
(6Nm thightening torque).
Clean the knee after each "polluting" activity (water,
mud, underwater use).
After immersion in sea water, rince thoroughly with fresh
water, then dry completely. Do not use any solvent or
other aggressive cleaning products.
In case of malfunction, premature wear or rust stains,
contact your CPO as soon as possible.
For the maintenance of the shock absorber, refer to the
instructions sheets of the manufacturer supplied in the
knee packaging.
An inspection of the knee must be made by Proteor
every 100 hours of use (ie each year for a moderate
activity and every 6 months for a high level activity).
