CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not lift the whirlpool using the apron brace. Lift the whirlpool
by the rim at multiple points. Whirlpool units in a single carton are shipped with apron braces in the
closed position. Whirlpool units in multi-pack cartons are shipped with one or more sets of apron braces
disconnected at the apron. Connect the apron braces to the apron before removing the unit from the
carton(s).
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. To avoid rust marks on your product, ensure the roofing nails or
non-tapered flathead screws are galvanized or plated. If using galvanized or plated non-tapered flathead
screws, do not overtighten the screws. Excessive tightening can damage the wall flange. Consult local
building codes to determine if the screws or nails must be galvanized or plated.
NOTICE: The whirlpool cannot be installed without the wall surrounds.
NOTICE: Risk of product damage. Do not install the whirlpool over open floor joists. The basin area
requires no additional support when the subfloor is level and square with the stud framing. Install the
whirlpool on an adequately supported, level subfloor. Use shims for additional support if the subfloor is
uneven.
NOTICE: Do not remove the foam backing from the wall surround sections. Wall surround sections are
equipped with foam backing to bring the back of the wall into contact with the regular stud framing. This
foam is not packing material.
NOTICE: 7614 and 7624 series models are designed to be used with a single-handle mixer valve with an
escutcheon cover not exceeding 7-3/4" (197 mm) in width.
Observe all applicable plumbing, electrical, and building codes.
This whirlpool is designed for alcove installations.
Upon receipt, check for shortages or damage. Report any shortages or damage immediately.
Do not remove the old fixture before you unpack and inspect the new unit.
Store the whirlpool and wall surrounds in a safe place until you begin installation to avoid damage.
If remodeling, measure the existing framework before removing the old whirlpool to make sure that
the new whirlpool will fit. Make sure that the drain is in the correct location.
Confirm adequate mounting and connection space for the water supply and drain installation.
