TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Motor does not
start.
Chain saw stops
running during
operation.
Chain brake
does not
engage.
56V LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS CHAIN SAW — CSX3000/CSX3000-FC
CAUSE
◾
The power plug of
battery holster is not
attached to the chain
saw.
◾
No electrical contact
between the battery
holster and battery.
◾
The "ON-OFF" switch
is positioned to OFF.
◾
Chain brake is
engaged.
◾
Other.
◾
The battery pack or
chain saw is too hot.
◾
The chain saw is
overloaded.
◾
The ventilation
channel is blocked
with wood chips and
dust.
◾
The battery pack is
depleted.
◾
Other.
◾
Debris preventing
full movement of the
chain kickback brake
handle.
◾
Possible chain brake
malfunction.
SOLUTION
◾
Insert the power plug of battery
holster to the chain saw.
◾
Detach battery, check contacts and
reinstall the battery pack.
◾
Turn the "ON-OFF" switch to ON.
◾
Pull the kickback brake paddle
backward toward the front handle,
arriving at the operating position.
◾
Contact EGO Customer Service for
repair.
◾
Cool the battery pack or chain saw.
◾
Decrease the load.
◾
Clean the ventilation channel. Refer to
the "REMOVE DUST" section.
◾
Charge the battery pack.
◾
Contact EGO Customer Service for
repair.
◾
Clean debris from external chain
brake mechanism.
◾
Contact EGO Customer Service for
repair.
