IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS MANUAL

Improper maintenance and operation are responsible for the majority of accidents
involving air compressors. The largest portion of these could be prevented by rec-
ognizing the basic safety rules and precautions. Most accidents can be avoided if
the operator recognizes a potentially hazardous situation before it happens and by
observing appropriate safety rules and procedures as outlined in this manual.
Basic safety precautions are outlined in the S S A A F F E E T T Y Y portion of this manual and
throughout text in this manual where a potential hazard might occur.
Hazards that M M U U S S T T be avoided to prevent serious injury follow headers marked
D D A A N N G G E E R R o o r r W W A A R R N N I I N N G G . These same precautions are placed as labels on the tool
itself.
N N E E V V E E R R use this compressor for applications that are N N O O T T specified in this manual.
UNPACKING & INSPECTION
After opening the carton, unpack your new air compressor and related parts &
accessories. Please inspect it carefully for any damage that may have occurred
during transit. Please check it against the photograph on carton.

not wear loose clothing, necklaces, rings, bracelets, or other jewelry, which may
get caught in moving parts. Nonskid footwear and electrically non-conductive
gloves are highly suggested while working. Wear protective hair covering to
contain long hair.

Always wear eye protection that meets ANSI Z28.1 specifications during air
compressor operation. Eyeglasses are not always safety glasses.

periods of operation.

right job will make doing the job safer.

other part that is damaged should be carefully checked to ensure that it will
operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, or any other conditions
that may affect tool operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be
