II USE
The 1S163 valve is intended for use in lower limb prosthesis only. Any other use is not permitted.
III INDICATIONS / CONT RA -INDICATIONS
No contra-indication for using the 1S163 valve in a lower limb prosthesis, whatever the patient weight and activity level.
IV MAKING T HE SOCKET
In order to make a socket ensuring perfect sealing with the 1S163 valve, you should necessarily use the supplied forming tool (g) and screw (f).
V MOUNTING / REMOVING T OOL
Placing the valve seat (c) and the external ring nut (b), as well as mounting / removing the valve body (a) can be eased by using a special tool
ordered separately under reference 1S164. Its use is recommended for the following operations :
Mounting the valve seat in the socket
(See Chapter VI point B)
