5. INSTALLATION
Installation methods for the submerged pump with electric motor:
1. Fixed with rigid pipes
2. Fixed but with flexible rubber tubes
When installing, bear in mind that the electric pump must never be installed by simply hanging it on the
delivery pipe or on the current cable. The submerged electric pump must be hung on the hook or rested on
the bottom of the well.
To ensure perfect pump operation, the bottom of the well must always be free of mud or other impurities.
If water level is too low, the mud in the well can rapidly dry and prevent the pump from running.
Consequently, you must regularly control the electric pump, by running the start-up tests.
The floating switch is set to allow the pump to operate immediately.
The well where the pump is installed must have dimensions of at least 40x40x50 cm, in order to allow the
switch and float to move freely.
6. START-UP
The pump you have bought already has a plug with earth contact, and is designed for connection to a socket
with an earth contact at 230 V-50 Hz. Make sure that the socket has a sufficient protection device (at least
6 A) and is in perfect condition. The pump is ready to function as soon as the pump plug is inserted in the
power socket.
After you have carefully read these installation and use instructions, you may run the new pump:
•
Check if the pump rests on the well bottom
•
Check if the delivery pipe was fitted correctly
•
Make sure that the electrical connection is 230 V - 50 Hz
•
Check if the power socket is in good condition
•
Make sure that humidity or water cannot penetrate connection to the electricity mains.
•
Do not run the pump in dry state
