Check the drain and suction pipes
Check the general condition of the pipes or hoses. Ensure that the hoses are in a good
operating condition before connecting them to the pump.
Do not forget that the suction hose must be reinforced in order to avoid failure of the hose.
Ensure that the sealing of the connecting piece of the suction hose is in a good condition.
Ensure that the connecting pieces of the hose and the fastening clamps are securely installed.
Check if the filter is in a good condition and is correctly installed at the end of the suction pipe.
Check the motor
Check the oil level. In order to avoid the inconvenience of an unexpected turn-off triggered by
the motor oil alarm system, the motor oil level must be checked before each start.
Check the air filter. A contaminated air filter may limit the air flow to the carburettor which, in
turn, reduces the performance of the motor and the pump. Check the fuel level. Starting with a
full tank helps to eliminate or reduce operational interruptions required in order to refill fuel.
8.2 OPERATION
Safety precautions during operation.
In order to safely use the full potential of this pump, a comprehensive understanding of how it
functions and a certain amount of experience and knowledge are required for a practical
handling of the control devices. For your safety, ignition or operation of the motor in a closed
room such as a garage is not allowed. The exhaust gases contain toxic carbon monoxide. They
may quickly accumulate in a closed room and may lead to illness or death.
Avoid breathing in the exhaust gases. Never let the motor run in a closed workshop or in
confined spaces.
This pump was exclusively developed for pumping water which is not suitable for human
consumption. Pumping combustible liquids such as petrol or oil may lead to fire or an
explosion which, in turn, may result in severe injuries.
Pumping sea water, beverages, acids, chemical solutions or other liquids which promote
corrosion may damage the pump.
Placement of the pump
In order to achieve the best pump performance, the pump must be placed close to the water
