Remove the wing nut, the disc and the cover of the filter. Check the filter and clean it when
contaminated or clogged.
CAUTION
Do not start the motor without the air filter being installed. Otherwise, dirt and dust will be
sucked in via the carburettor into the motor which leads to early wearing of the motor.
6.7 Checking the flushing
Before operating the pump it must be ensured that the pump is sufficiently filled with water so
that it is flushed. Open the plug and fill in water until the upper limit.
CAUTION
Never try to let the motor run without water inside as the pump will otherwise overheats. The
extended use of the pump without water, in a dry condition, may damage the mechanical seals.
If the motor runs dry, switch it off immediately, let it cool down and then refill water into the
pump.
7.CONTROLS AND CHARACTERISTICS
7.1Fuel lever (E)
The fuel lever opens and closes the connection between the fuel tank and the carburetor.
The lever must be in the "ON" position so that the motor runs.
If the motor is not in use, the fuel lever must be in the "OFF" position in order to avoid that the
carburettor is oversaturated (drowned) with fuel as well as to reduce the possibility of a fuel leak.
7.2 Motor On/Off switch (G)
The On/Off switch for the motor controls the ignition system.
The On/Off switch for the motor must be in the "ON" position so that the motor starts.
If the On/Off switch of the motor is set to the "OFF" position, the motor is stopped.
7.3 Locking control switch (throttling) (F)
The locking control switch opens and closes the throttle valve in the carburettor.
The closed position (CLOSED) concentrates the fuel mixture in order to start a cold motor.
The open position (OPEN) provides the correct fuel mixture for operation after the start-up and
for restarting a warm motor.
7.4 Speed control lever (H)
The lever controls the speed of the motor.
The movement of the lever of the accelerator valve towards the prescribed directions results in
the fact that the motor runs faster or slower.
The flow quantity at the water drain of the pump is controlled by setting the accelerator lever. In
the maximum position of the accelerator, the pump delivers the highest flow quantity at the
drain.
If you set the lever of the accelerator valve to the idle position, the drain volume is reduced.
