SECURE RATCHET.
A. Hook the ratchet strap latch end through the swivel anchor from behind.
B. Flip the outer clasp over the latch to lock it in place.
C. Lever the ratchet barrel through
at least two turns of the strap.
Test that the jerry can is secure by rocking it back and forth, retighten as necessary.
• If straps become contaminated with oil, fuel or acid clean them with hot soapy water.
• If the ratchet mechanism becomes stiff in use, a small amount of lubrication applied to the
moving parts will ease operation.
• Ratchet strap must not be used for lifting.
• Protect from abrasion and friction.
• Do not tie knots in the straps.
• Do not use a damaged strap.
• Lashing capacity on the polypropylene webbing is 300 lbs. (150 kg).
