Expanding the system

Master-slave circuit

In a master-slave circuit, EASY DMX, OT EASY 60 II or DALI EASY III control units
can be connected together. The devices use a master-slave communication concept
to synchronize with each other.
CAUTION!
Master-slave connection lines conduct protective extra-low voltage signals!
Do not route together with power supply or lamp lines.
Ensure that the master-slave connection lines are sufficiently insulated against the
power supply or lamp lines.

System limitations

In order to set up a master-slave circuit, the following rules have to be observed:
Extension of more than one EASY DMX is allowed; the limit of 64 independent light
points must not be exceeded.
Max. number of DALI EASY III and OT EASY 60 II and related limitations must be
observed. See separate instruction sheets of DALI EASY III and OT EASY 60 II.
Max. total EASY line length (without EASY system coupler): 100 m
Max. 50 m to pushbutton coupler.
Every EASY system requires exactly one master control unit in the complete sys-
tem. Configure all other control units as slaves.
Max. number of independent light points (see examples in the following table):
• EASY system: 64
• EASY DMX 64x4 SO: 64
• EASY DMX 32x4 SO: 32
• EASY DMX 16x4 SO: 16
• OT EASY 60 II: 1
• DALI EASY III: 1
