EASY DMX SO

Description

Purpose and application

The EASY DMX is a lighting control unit suitable for DIN rail installation that is capable
of interoperating with any other device of the EASY product family. It is designed to
control dimmers and fixtures that use DMX as control input. The product enables the
user to create homogeneous colour moods, simulate daylight and create dynamic
lighting effects in combination with appropriate DMX dimmers and user interfaces of
the EASY product family.

Product versions

EASY DMX is available in three different versions:
EASY DMX 16x4 SO
EASY DMX 32x4 SO
EASY DMX 64x4 SO
Each version differs from the others only by the maximum number of individual con-
trollable light points (16, 32 or 64, respectively).

EASY DMX is supported by the EASY Color Control software version 1.3 or higher.

Function

In "single light point" applications where all fixtures display the same output, the con-
trol unit in combination with user interfaces (e.g. EASY RMC and EASY IR) represents
a pure plug 'n' play solution.
More complex lighting designs can be created by means of the EASY Color Control
software that enables the management of multiple independent light points and large
quantities of scenes and sequences. The lighting designs can be stored in the EASY
DMX and recalled either by means of the software or via EASY user interfaces and
other EASY system components.
Depending on the configuration, the EASY DMX is able to control modules of the type
CW/WW, R/G/B or R/G/B/White (or FreeColour).

Operating modes

EASY DMX has three operating modes that can be activated by means of EASY user
interfaces; see separate manuals.
Lighting control mode: Brightness is adjusted manually, and luminaire groups and
lighting scenes are switched on and off manually.
Sequencer mode: The stored lighting scenes are called up automatically one after
the other. The fade time between the lighting scenes is adjustable.
Daylight simulation: The lighting scenes are called up automatically to simulate light
conditions as they change during the course of a day. Lighting scenes and cycle
time (= duration of a day) can be adjusted.
