SAFETY CONCERNS

To reduce the risk of personal injury or property damage when using electrical
appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
1. Read and understand all instructions before using the food processorng parts, and
before cleaning.
2. To protect against the risk of electrical shock, never put the motorized base, cord, or
plug in or near water or other liquids.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near people who
are unfamiliar with its operation, children, or animals.
4. Unplug the appliance from the outlet when it is not in use, before installing or remo-
ving parts, and before cleaning.
5. Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord, plug or parts, or if it: malfun-
ctions or does not operate properly;
or has been damaged in any manner.
If this appliance malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged, return the ap-
pliance to the nearest Service Department for examination, repair, or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
6. Do not use this appliance with attachments which are not recommended or sold
by the appliance manufacturer because they may present unknown hazards like fire,
electric-shock, or injury.
7. Do not use in areas that are unsuitable for its safe use, like outdoors.
8. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of tables or counters or touch hot surfaces.
9. Avoid contact with moving parts.
10. Always use the food-guide pusher to feed the food through the food-chute.
Never use your hands or anything else to feed the food through the food-chute.
11. Except for cleaning, assembling, and disassembling, fingers should never be in the
food-chute.
12. The metal portions of the slicing and shredding cones are very sharp, so handle
with care.
They may be cleaned with a soft brush.
13. Do not use the food processor for uses other than for the food processing functions
it was designed for.
14. The input voltage is 220-240V~ 50/60Hz; please confirm voltage and electrical
compatibility with your electrical outlets before use.
15. When food processing is finished, please continue to watch the moving parts of the
appliance until all motion stops, and that it is disconnected from the power supply; then
the attachments can be removed
16. Operating the appliance beyond its rated continuous-use time will degrade the
