Service and Maintenance
11.
Maintenance
The welder has been built for long periods of use with a minimum of maintenance. The operaon of the machine in
the long term with sasfactory performance depends on the correct care of the machine and its periodic cleaning.
Cleaning - unplug machine before cleaning
Periodically clean the welder using a so cloth, preferably aer each use. Keep the vents free of dust and dirt and if
they cannot be easily removed use a damp cloth with water and a lile soap. Never use solvents derived from
petroleum, alcohol, etc. they can damage the plasc parts of the machine.
Lubricaon
The machine does not need addional lubricaon.
Diagnosc
If the machine does not funcon normally, suspend its use and use the following table to find the possible cause and
its respecve soluon .
Failure
No output power
Low current
output
Poor quality of weld
bead
Possible cause
• No power supply.
• Inappropriate fuse or breaker.
• Thermal protecon in operaon.
•
Inappropriate connecon
• Low input voltage
• Work clamp (ground) away from the
point to be welded
• Defecve electrode
Soluon
• Check connecon
• Wait for the thermal protecon to stop
working.
•
Check electrical connecon
• Check clamp locaon to ensure
proper connecon. Clean rust or
paint.
• Place the clamp as close as possible
to where it is to be welded.
• Change the electrode
