Rosenbauer - PROTECTIVE BOOTS
When putting on and taking off the boots as well as the operation of the quick lock
should and must be possible without much effort.
Chafe marks, surface damage due to heat, damage to the surface due to chemical in-
fluences or similar impair the protective effect. Firefighting boots must be replaced if
one of these characteristics is detected. This also applies to individual parts which are
not firmly connected to the boot (eg insoles, steel cable, push-rotary knob).
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
The shoes must be transported and stored in the original shoe box in a dry environ-
ment at room temperature.
CARE OF THE BOOTS
First brush the dirt of the boot using a soft brush and lukewarm water. Then treat the
boot with a special care product so that the leather remains soft and not brittle. If you
have colored inserts in the boot, you are best to use a clear cream or gel. Regular im-
pregnation renders the boot water repellent and provides additional protection against
dirt. We highly recommend the following cleaning and care products: shoe care prod-
uct NIKWAX (Art. No. 143937) and shoe care cream SOLITAIRE BRILLANT (Art. No.
143936).
In order to retain the breathing activity of the leather, shoe creams containing oil or fat
should be avoided. Please do not use aggressive cleaning agents as they may influence
the function and safety of the boots.
It is unsuitable to dry wet shoes in direct sunlight, on a radiator or oven. Wet boots
should be dried slowly at room temperature. To speed up the drying, the insole can be
removed and the boot packed with newspaper.
ACCESSORIES AND REPLACEMENT PARTS
Insoles, push-and-turn buttons, stainless steel cords, zipper attachments, laces, care
and cleaning products are available as replacement parts.
All tests were carried out with an original insole - the shoes may only be used with this.
Only in this way can the tested and guaranteed properties of the shoes be ensured.
