and the heating occurs only inside the diameters marked
on the surface.

CleAning The glAss

The glass must be washed with a vinegar or lemon-based
degreasing liquid suitable for cleaning ceramics and glass.
During this operation it is advisable that the glass is not
completely cold, so that the spilled food, burnt grease and
other residues softened with a damp cloth can be removed
with a common scraper in order to avoid degradation of the
glass surface.
Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents.
WARnings!
The cooking surface is resistant but not unbreakable, and it
could be damaged by hard or pointed objects falling onto it.
Should the surface break or crack, do not use the appliance
but contact the Service Centre immediately.
Do not pour water onto the pyroceram hob, especially when
it is still hot, in order to avoid damaging it.

Operate the switch upstream from the appliance.
To switch on the appliance, turn the knob corresponding to
the selected cooking zone; the indicator light turns on to
indicate that the appliance is operating. The desired cooking
temperature can then be set by turning the knob further.
The appliance is equipped with 4 cooking zones. Remember
that the entire surface of the hob is heated.
It is advisable to turn the plate on at the maximum tempera-
ture; as soon as the temperature has been reached, place the
knob at a lower position.
Each zone can be switched off by turning the knob to the
indicator "O".

CAUTION: The pyroceram surface is heated by the heat ema-
nated from the bottom of the pan. To avoid burns or injuries,
do not touch the pyroceram surface during use.
a)Connect the appliance to the network after checking that
the voltage supplied matches that indicated on the technical
data plate of the appliance.
b)Position the pans on the zones marked on the pyroceram
hob.
c)Turn the knob clockwise: the green indicator light will
come on.
If the pan is not present, the green indicator light flashes.
d)Adjust the power by turning the knob.
When the pan is removed, the inductor stops supplying
power; when repositioned, it immediately resumes at the
same set power. If the pan is removed, the inductor remains
in stand-by and the only energy consumed is that required
for the indicator light.
TURning The AppliAnCe OFF
·
Turn the knob clockwise or anti-clockwise until return-
ing it to the home position "OFF".
·
Certain parts of the generator remain energized even
when the knob is in the "OFF" position. Thus, in case of
maintenance work, disconnect the equipment from the
mains first.

Make certain that no liquid gets inside the induction
generator during normal use as well as during cleaning
or maintenance of the component.
Use
With induction hobs, only specific pots for induction cook-
ing can be used: check that the pots have the symbol
which identifies induction cooking.
The induction hobs must not be used to heat objects other
than those mentioned above.

WARnings!
Metal objects overheat very quickly if placed in the heat-
ing zone in operation, thus do not rest any metallic mate-
rials on the induction hob, such as: cans, tins, aluminium
foil, cutlery, rings, keys, watches, etc.).
Persons with pace-makers must consult their physician in
order to check whether or not they can be near a hob with
induction generator.
Do not rest credit cards, telephone cards, magnetic tape
or other magnetic objects on the pyroceramic plate with
induction system.
The induction generator has an internal cooling system.
Be careful that the air inlet and outlet holes are not blocked
by objects (paper, cloths or other objects). This may cause
overheating and the consequent shutdown of the induc-
tion.
Avoid letting liquids get into the induction generator (water,
oil or other liquids).
Never clean the appliance with jets of water.
The cooking surface is resistant but not unbreakable, and
it could be damaged by hard or pointed objects falling
onto it.
Should the pyroceramic surface break or crack, switch the
induction hob off and disconnect it from the mains.
Do not touch any internal part of the induction genera-
tor.
