To carry out the test, perform the following checks:
1) Check that the power supply voltage complies with that
of the appliance.
2) Operate the automatic isolator switch to check the elec-

3) Check that the safety devices are in good working

Using The AppliAnCe

CAUTiOn!
Use the appliances only under supervision and never
leave them operating empty.
indicator lights indicate whether the power is on or off
for all the equipment.
The appliances do not require particular adjustments by
specialized personnel, but simply the adjustments made
by the user during use.
Use only the accessories indicated by the manufacturer.
Do not use the appliances to cook foods directly.
For good performance and reduced energy consump-
tion, it is essential to use only pots and pans suitable for
cooking with electricity (check the codes on the bottom
of them). The bottom must be very thick and perfectly
flat. (Fig.6)
The diameter of the containers must be at least equal
to the diameter of the selected cooking zone. A smaller
diameter will result in energy waste, so a larger diameter
is better. (Fig.6)
english
The bottom of the pans, just like the hob, must be clean
and dry.
During the first uses of the appliance, the hob may give
off an acrid or burned smell. This will disappear com-
pletely after the next two or three uses.
After use, the zones remain hot for some time even
though they are switched off (residual heat). Do not rest
your hands on the zones, and keep children away.
These rules are very important. not following them may
result in malfunctioning of the appliances as well as
hazardous situations for the user.

the selected heating zone and select a position between 1

temperature; as soon as the temperature has been reached,
place the knob at a lower position.
Each hotplate can be switched off by turning the knob to
"O".
6 to begin cooking, max 5/10'

OpeRATing insTRUCTiOns FOR The pYROCeRAM hOBs
Operate the switch upstream from the appliance.
To switch on the appliance, turn the knob corresponding
to the selected cooking zone; the indicator light turns on
to indicate that the appliance is operating. Positioning the
knob on the indicator (A) (see references in Fig.7) activates
the central heating element, and the zone concerned will
start to become incandescent. The desired cooking tem-
perature can then be set by turning the knob further. For
greater heating power, position the knob on the indicator
(B).
Important: you must hear the "click" indicating connection
has been made so that the external heating element will
also be activated. At this point, the temperature adjustment
occurs for both elements.
note: The VTR series 900 hobs have only a single heating
element for each cooking zone.
To switch off the heating elements, position the knob on
the indicator "O".
There are 4 warning lights on the hob corresponding to the
four cooking zones.
These warning lights indicate a high temperature is present,
and they work even when the equipment is switched off.
The warning lights remain lit until the hob temperature
drops to a value which is no longer hazardous for the user.
The appliance is equipped with 4 cooking zones. The posi-
tions of the cooking zones are clearly indicated by circles
