Pull up the hand grip

Lift the ball hitch off the hitch ball on the to-
wing vehicle
The hand grip remains opened.
Wear indicator
The wear indicator on the hitch grip indicates:
Wear limit of the hitch ball on the towing ve-
hicle
Wear limit of the ball hitch
DANGER!
The ball hitch can disengage if only the
red area is displayed.
Immediately check the ball hitch and
hitch ball, and have worn parts renewed!

Hitch the trailer up to the towing vehicle
Malfunction
Hitch does not engage after ha-
ving been placed on the hitch
ball
Excessive play between the ball
hitch and hitch ball

Ball diameter larger than 50

Insufficient imposed load
Interior parts of the ball hitch
contaminated or seized
Ice and snow
Ball hitch worn
Swivelling range exceeded
Rivet bent
Marking is indicating the green area
Ball hitch in new condition
The wear on the hitch ball of the towing
vehicle is in the permitted range
Marking is indicating the red area
Hitch ball and/or ball hitch are worn
Ball hitch damaged
CAUTION!
Repair work is only allowed to be perfor-
med by competent specialist companies.
Spare parts and safety parts!
Only use genuine AL-KO parts when in-
stalling spare parts in our products, or
else parts that have been approved by or
for AL-KO.
Our service stations require a spare part
identification number (ETI) in order to
identify the spare parts.
Solution
Have the hitch ball renewed
Press the ball hitch downwards
by hand
Clean and lubricate the ball hitch
Have the ball hitch renewed
Go to a specialist workshop
