Application range
The APRIGRATA operator is destined exclusively for opening and
closing sliding window security bars. The use of the operator for other
applications must be authorised by Aprimatic after technical testing
of the application.
Description
Electrical operator with twin rack with parallel movement in
opposite directions, ideal for moving very wide side sliding
window security bars for windows up to 800 mm. wide.
Operators at 230 V.
The racks are in C43 galvanised steel. The limit swicht is electronic
and adjustable. The operator is supplied with a power supply cable
wich is connected directly to the inside of the operator.
The assembly accessories are included in the pack.
Installation
! The actuator must be installed by specialised technical
personnel.
! Disconnect the electrical power supply during installation.
! Check that the security bars to which the operators is applied
are correctly installed and that there are no obstacles on the sliding
guides.
1. Before mounting the operator to the ceiling, assemble the two limit
switch blocks (toothed stop bolck, "L" - shaped plate, 5x12 end 5x8
screws) end apply both of them to the lower rack without tightening
screw A so that they can be moved before final adjustement (Fig. n.
1 - part).
2. Fit the security bars securiting brackets to the racks using the four
5x20 screws (supplied) and tighten using the lock nuts (Fig. n. 3).
3. Fit the operator unit to the window lintel using the plate supplied
(secured to the wall, for example, with blocks) (Fig. n. 2) and secure
them with the two 8x50 screws supplied in the kit. Ensure that the
racks and security bars can be alligned correctly and, if
required, place shims between the plate and the wall, until the
frame of the security bars and the securing plates are joined
correctky (Fig. n. 3).
4. With the security bars in the closed position but at a distance of 5
mm., mark the points where holes must be drilled on the security
bars to complete the assembly of the operator (example Fig. n. 3).
5. Then adjust the closing and opening limit switches by moving them
on the rack and secure them with the screw supplied.
N.B.: The operator is non-reversible so it must be powered up to
move it and to adjust the limit switches.
Recommendations and safety standards:
- Aprimatic products must be installed by specialised personnel with
suitable technical skills.
- At least every 12 months, test the product to ensure the system is
functioning correctly; for special systems, this should be done at
least every 6 months.
- Perform the operations as specified by the manufacturer.
- The installer must check the installation and the correct functioning
of the device.
- Do NOT use the product for any purpose other than the specified
one.
- Use original spare parts.
- Use the "deadman".

Electrical connection
Warning: injury or death - electrocution hazard. Disconnect the
power supply to the actuators before connecting the actuators
or the system.
Warning: There must always be a multi-polar mains switch with
a minimum contact opening of 3 mm and a differential of 0.030 A
upstream of the actuator control line.
Check the cross-section of the power supply cable: it must have
adequate dimensions for the absorption of the actuator. The electrical
connections are indicated in Fig. 4. The electrical system must comply
with current standards.

N.B.: To ensure the system is safe, use a spring return push-button
(dead man) or a power supply which is timed for the time required for
movement.
Maintenance
Check, annualy, that the guides and the carriages are in good
condition, that the operator is secure and the general state of
the window.
If any parts are worn, change them.
N.B.: Maintenance operations must be carried out by
specialised personnel
Warnings:
- Check that the window components used allow the actuator to open
fully. If not, the parts subject to stress or the actuator itself may be
damaged.
- Crushing or trapping hazard! The actuator has a drive and thrust
force of 200N. The hardware and the fittings for the accessories
must be able to support these loads.
- The window must have suitable support and safety systems; the
actuator cannot be considered as a support or safety device for
the window.
- Do NOT touch the rack when it is moving.
- Keep outside the range of the window's movements when it is
operating.
- Disconnect the electrical power supply when installing, adjusting
and repairing the operator.
