11.6 Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the device against damages during transit. The packaging
materials are selected in accordance with environmentally compatible and recycling-
related points of view and can therefore be recycled.
Returning the packaging back to the material loop saves raw materials and reduces the
quantities of accumulated waste. Take any packaging materials that are no longer required
to "Green Dot" recycling collection points for disposal.
► If possible, keep the original packaging for the device for the duration of the guarantee
period of the device, in order that the device can be re-packaged properly in the event
of a guarantee claim.

12 Suitable vacuum-sealing appliances

This container set can be used with all commercially available vacuum-sealing appliances
fitted with a hose connector.
We particularly recommend the following appliances:

Vacuum sealing with the VC 10, VC 11 silver and white

1. Plug the hose connector of the container set directly onto the vacuum valve in the
centre of the vacuum chamber.
2. Fill the containers and leave a space of at least 3 cm from the top edge; put on the lid.
3. Press the vacuum-sealing button. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed by pushing it down with
your hand. The machine then performs the vacuum-sealing process and switches off
automatically once the operation is complete.
4. Remove the connecting hose from your appliance.
5. To open the vacuum-sealer container, turn the knob on the lid; you should then hear the
noise of the air flowing into the container.
6. This noise guarantees that the contents have been vacuum-sealed.
