Float switch adjustment
The float switch (5) automatically switches on
the pump at a water height of approx. 53cm and
automatically switches off at a water height of
approx. 5cm BY fixing the float switch cable to the
float switch lock (3). the cut-in/cut-Out height can be
adjusted individually.
Location and transport
− Please take care that the pump is located in
a stable position (especially for automatic
operation).
− In addition pay attention that in case of
automatic operation the float switch can
move free.
− Take care that the pump is located in a
way ensuring that the inlet openings at
the suctions base are obstructed neither
completely nor partly, Therefore, it is
advisable to place the pump for example on
a brick.
− Don't use power cable or float switch for
carrying or hanging up the pump. When
submerging the pump is wills or shafts,
please use a rope which is to the fastened to
the pump's carrying handle (2).
Operation
Automatic operation
After having connected the power cable, the pump is
automatically switched on at a definite water height
(cut-in height) and switches off as soon as the water
level drops down to a definite water height (cut-out
height).
Manual operation
In case of manual operation the Submersible Pump
starts when the power cable has been connected and
the float switch has been lifted.
Safety hints before operation
WARNING!
This instructions manual must be read
thoroughly prior to pump installation and
start up. For safety reasons, persons who have not
read the instructions may not use the pump.
− Persons under the age of 16 may not use the
pump and must keep away from pumps with
the power switched on.
− Persons under the age of 16 may not use the
pump and must keep away from pumps with
the power switched on.
− The user is accountable to third parties
for everything related to pump operation
(piping installation, etc.).
− Domestic power supply must be 16 A and
be provided with a protection thermal-
magnetic circuit breaker Fl 30 mA.
− The power supply must include a maximum
current
connection.
− Check the power supply voltage.
− Technical data on the nameplate must match
the power supply voltage.
− If the pump is used for swimming pools,
ponds, water springs and related water
installations,
national regulations is required.
− Electrically driven pumps for use outdoors
(Swimming pools, ponds, etc.) must be
provided with rubber or Neoprene power
cables type H07 RNF or H05_RNF according
to DIN 57282 or DIN 57245.
− No persons or pets may be present in the
vicinity of the pump operating area.
− Pumped liquid temperature may not exceed
35º C. If extension cables are used, rubber or
Neoprene cables type H07 RN-F or H05_RNF
according to DIN 57282 or DIN 7245 must
always be used.
− Never lift, handle or pull from the pump
using the power cable
− Make sure the power supply is kept away
from water and damp areas.
− Prior to starting the pump, check for
flawed or worn out cables or power supply
connections.
− The power supply must be disconnected
before carrying out any work on the pump.
− If the pump is installed in a sink / drain, the
sink must be covered after installation to
protect passing- by pedestrians.
− The discharge pipe must be positively fixed
by means of a hose clamp.
− Do not exceed the maximum submergence
(see technical data) In order that damages
(room flooding, etc.) caused by a pump
malfunction (anomaly or defect) can be
prevented, the owner (user) must take
adequate safety measures (install an alarm
system, stand –by pump or similar).
− If the bottom is sandy or muddy, the pump
must be hanged from a rope or chain or
