MWW Welding and Cutting Torch - Putting the Cutting Torch into Operation
Do not reduce the cutting oxygen valve (11) when cutting
•
Make sure that:
•
◦ the manometer indicates constant pressure, otherwise readjust
◦ the slag can get out of the gap
◦ there is a consistent sound without burble
Close the cutting oxygen valve (11) after cutting

Turning Off
After completing the cutting process shut down the torch with the following
procedure:
Close the fuel gas valve (4)

Close the oxygen valve (5) and the heating oxygen valve (10)
•
Attention: In case of a flashback, which can be perceived as a whistling noise in
the torch, shut down with the following procedure:
Close the oxygen valve (5)
•
Close the fuel gas valve (4)
•
Close the cutting and the heating oxygen valves (11), (10)
•
If the torch was heated up you can cool the cutting attachment in water
•
while oxygen valves are opened
In case of longer work stoppages, also close the cylinder valves, relieve the pres-
sure regulators and remove the gases from the oxyacetylene hoses without dan-
ger.
Caution: Do not place the gas cutting torch in containers or similar objects.
