3 Preparation

3.1

Hoses

The hoses have to be in conformity with the valid regulations, e.g. EN ISO 3821.
The minimum length has to be three meters. Make sure the hoses are connected
correctly and cannot slide off the hose coupling nipples.
Hoses with the following inner diameters are recommended for working with the
torch:

Pressure Regulators

The capacity of the pressure regulator depends on the flow rate of the selected
cutting nozzle. Please check the gas consumption tables on page 21 and the fol-
lowing pages.
3.3

Safety Devices

To increase the safety in case of possible flashbacks the use of safety devices for
fuel gas and oxygen is necessary. The necessary flow rates depend on the size of
the selected welding attachment or cutting nozzle. Please check the gas con-
sumption tables on page 21 and the following pages.
