Features
1. Trimmer Head Drive Lever Engages the rotation of
the trimmer head.
2. Start Lever Release to stop the rotation of the trimmer
head.
3. Throttle Control Lever Controls the engine speed and
stops the engine.
4. Recoil Starter Handle The engine is equipped with an
easy pull recoil starter.
5. Recoil Starter Cover Covers recoil starter mechanism.
Holes allow air intake to cooling system.
6. Spark Plug/Spark Plug Wire Provides spark to ignite
air/fuel mixture. The spark plug wire must be moved
away from the spark plug when servicing the unit.
7. Muffler Location of engine exhaust
8. Trimmer Guard Protects the operator from thrown
debris. Blade mounted on guard will automatically cut
trimmer line to correct length if line is too long.
9. Trimmer Line Rotating cutting element of trimmer.
10. Trimmer Head Rotates the trimmer lines. Sets the
height of the cut.
11. Primer Button Injects fuel directly into the carburetor
for faster starts.
12. Air Filter Removes debris and contaminates from
intake air, allowing engine to run smoothly with low
exhaust.

Assembly
• Save all instructions
Read and follow the assembly instructions. Do not discard
any parts or materials until the unit is assembled.
References to the right or left side of the trimmer are from
the viewpoint of the operator's position behind the trimmer.
WARNING
Do not operate trimmer if it is damaged or not completely
and correctly assembled.
WARNING
Before doing any assembly or maintenance to the unit, re-
move the wire from the spark plug. The following compo-
nents will be found in the carton. Quantities shown in ( ).

(1) Trimmer Operator's Manual
(1) Container of SAE 30 Engine Oil
(1) T-Handle Allen Wrench
(4) 0.155 in. [4 mm] Trimmer Lines (2 sets)

How to Assemble the Handle
NOTE: Refer to Figure 2 when following the steps below
1. Hold the handle with one hand and loosen both handle
adjustment knobs until the ratchet teeth are disengaged.
Do not remove the handle adjustment knobs.
2. Press sides of handle apart and rotate the handle to
the desired position behind the trimmer.
3. Stand in the operator's position behind the trimmer to
make sure handle is adjusted to a comfortable position
4. Firmly hand-tighten the handle adjustment knobs.
5. To attach the recoil start handle to the rope guide, twist
the rope through the rope guide mounted on the right
side of the handle.
