OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PLATFORM MOBILITY
The Platform Lift System is a portable unit, moving
around the shop on 4" [102 mm} casters. The casters
on the end without the handle are rigid and the casters
on the handle end are swivel casters allowing the
platform to be moved through the shop.
PLATFORM MOVEMENT
The platform has an up/down momentary switch located
on the handle. Pushing the top side of the switch will
raise the platform and pushing the bottom side of the
switch will lower the platform.
WHEN THE PLATFORM REACHES
THE TOP END OF TRAVEL OR THE
BOTTOM END OF TRAVEL THE
SWITCH MUST BE RELEASED.
FAILURE TO RELEASE THE SWITCH
MAY CAUSE DAMAGE.
FLOOR BRAKE FUNCTION
The machine has an automatic floor brake system that
engages when the platform is resting on the floor and when
the platform raised above the moveable area shown on the
floor brake decal . If the Platform is in the green area
marked on the floor brake decal the brake is raised and the
machine can be moved.
USING THE PLATFORM LIFT SYSTEM WITH
THE RG5500 REEL GRINDER
When using the Platform Lift System with the reel
grinder push the Platform Lift System uptight to the
back of the grinder. See FIG 4. Move the mowing
unit from the Platform to the grinder. See FIG 5.
Then close the rear slide up door engaging the
safety switch.
THE PLATFORM LIFT SYSTEM
IS TO BE USED ON A
SMOOTH, FLAT HARD
SURFACE. USING THE
MACHINE ON ANY OTHER
SURFACE MAY CAUSE
DAMAGE TO THE MACHINE
OR INJURY TO THE
OPERATOR.
DO NOT USE THE MACHINE
ON AN INCLINED SURFACE.
