3 INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
This chapter provides information on installing and wiring the LSP. The instructions and guidelines
listed in this manual shall be followed to guarantee personnel and equipment safety, as well as
the proper operation of the product.

3.1 MECHANICAL INSTALLATION

3.1.1 Fixing

The LSP is composed of a set of bumper pads to be fitted compulsorily in fixing profiles for
isolating the equipment from shock and vibration, keeping them from damage caused by
aggressive application.

It is prudent to prevent the safety device to be subjected to mechanical shock with tools,
molds, forklift or even rejections launched during the forming process. If you can not avoid
this, it is recommended to provide an external protection (enclosure protection) protecting
the respective modules of the LSP. See enclousure protection options at

in acessories list.

3.1.2 Positioning the Units

The emitter and receiver must be positioned correctly for the equipment to have its maximal
performance, mechanically aligned, the units must be at the same level, parallel, in the same
way and the opposite direction, as shown in the following figures.
