WARNING!
CAREFULLY READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL
INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR NEW AUTO-
DARKENING WELDING HELMET
The Auto-darkening welding helmet is designed to protect the eyes
and face from specks, spatter, and harmful radiation under normal
welding conditions. The Auto-darkening filter automatically changes
from a light state to a dark state in only 1/25000S when an arc is
struck and it returns to the light state when welding stops.
I. BEFORE WELDING
Peel off the cover lens screen film on both sides of the filter
cartridge before using the new Auto-Darkening Welding helmet
Select the desired filter shade according to the welding
process, wire diameter, and operating current. The filter shade
adjustment is located on the side of the helmet.
The helmet should fit tight to help reduce light reflection into
the helmet through the space between the shell and the head.
Follow below instructions for adjusting the helmet fit:
1.
To adjust the fit to the top of the head two (2) overlapping belts are
held together by a snap. Pull the belts in opposite directions to
release the snap and slide the belts to either loosen or tighten the
fit. Once a fit is found align the snap with an adjacent hole and
reattach the belts.
2.
To adjust the distance between the helmet and your face loosen
the two (2) adjustment screws on either side of the helmet and pull
the helmet away or push it towards your face to set the appropriate
distance. Once the desired distance is set re-tighten the adjustment
screws.
3.
To adjust the fit around your head use the ratchet wheel at the back
of the headband. Adjust it by pushing down the ratchet wheel and
turning right or left to suit the size of your head.
II. PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS:
This product is suitable for a variety of welding processes.
When the arc is struck, the Auto-darkening filter will turn from a clear
state to a dark state. The response time is less than 1/25000S.
The helmet provides the user's eyes and face full protection against UV
and IR radiation during the entire welding process, even in the clear
state. The UV/IR protection level is up to the shade 15 (DIN) at all times.
The product is in full conformity with related DIN, EN safety standards,
and ANSI Z87.1 standards.
