Electric Connections
The power assembly (contactor + overload relay + accessories ) of the evaporator
fan is supplied with the ventilation module, and should be mounted in the electric
box of the corresponding condensing unit on the occasion of the installation. See
electric diagrams.
-
This equipment must be connected to the main power supply with a circuit
breaker or with a switch with a contact separation of, at least, 3 mm. If this
is not possible, an earthed power supply plug should be used. This plug must
be easily accessible after the installation. The plug has to be disconnected
from the power outlet so that the equipment gets fully disconnected from
the mains.
-
The electric installation must comply with the legal standards in force.
-
Never make changes to this unit taking out any of the safety labels or
bypassing the interlocking switches.
-
The unit shall not be exposed to water or to any kind of humidity before the
installation, because this can cause short-circuits. Do not store the unit in a
wet attic, nor let it exposed to rain or water.
-
Read the whole installation manual before installing the unit. The manual
contains important instructions for the correct installation.
a) General power supply:
Install a disconnect switch near the unit, with fuses or with a thermomagnetic circuit
breaker with equivalent inrush, conforming to the requirements of the local legislation.
The electric data of the units are indicated in Table 2.
Consult an electric engineer or an accredited technician to evaluate the conditions of
the electric system, and select the appropriate power supply and protective devices.
SURREY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS RESULTING FROM THE NON-
COMPLIANCE WITH THIS RECOMMENDATION.
It is advisable to use a padlock to block the switch or circuit breaker open during
maintenance works.
